What the Watch app does
The Divvy Time Watch app is a companion to the iPhone app. It shows your current timer state and lets you control the timer from your wrist — useful when your phone is away or you just want a quick glance.
The Watch app and iPhone app stay in sync automatically via your device’s app group. Changes on either device are reflected on the other.
What you can do on the Watch
- Start working — when idle
- Take a break — when working
- Resume work — when on break
- End session — from either working or break mode (requires confirmation)
The timer display on the Watch shows:
- Your current mode (idle / working / on break)
- The elapsed time for the current segment
- Cumulative work time and break time for the session
What is not available on the Watch
The Watch app is intentionally minimal. These features are only available on iPhone:
- Intent capture — setting or editing your session intent
- Reconciliation — recording how the session went
- Settings — ratio, reminders, theme, account
- History and Insights — session history and analytics
- Groups — viewing or joining groups
FAQ
Do I need to have my iPhone nearby for the Watch app to work?
For initial state sync, yes. If you start a session on your Watch, your iPhone needs to be reachable at some point to sync. If you’re out of range temporarily, the state is synced when the connection restores.
If I end a session on my Watch, will it appear in my iPhone’s History?
Yes. Sessions ended on the Watch are archived the same way as sessions ended on the iPhone.
Can I set an intent from my Watch?
No. Start the session from your iPhone if you want to set an intent, then control the timer from your Watch.
The Watch app shows different numbers than my iPhone. Why?
If the two devices briefly fall out of sync, numbers may differ momentarily. They reconcile when the connection restores. If the mismatch persists, opening the iPhone app typically re-syncs state.
